Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters/ Advance Post Graduate degree preferably in Sociology, Gender and Women Studies, Law, Development Studies, International Development, Anthropology, Economics.

∎ 10 to 15 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead internal negotiation and advocacy for Gender mainstreaming across BRAC programs, department and enterprises to achieve BRAC strategy and gender strategy goals (2016-2020) and beyond.
∎ Lead sector specific / appropriate gender mainstreaming design, scale-up plans and methodologies to achieve Gender Equality and Women Empowerment programmatic goals.
∎ Lead and ensure overall effectiveness of GM portfolio management focusing on quality control and result achievement.
∎ Explore and initiate joint / collaborative innovations in line with BRAC's thematic/ emerging priority considering future possibilities of scaling up.
∎ Ensure support for gender responsive new programme design/project development based on BRAC SOP gender checklist.
∎ Lead BRAC programmes/enterprises staff gender skills transfer process so that they can take ownership of GI and lead the process over the years.
∎ Provide technical advice, direction and support to all Programme Managers (PM) including support in directing BRAC's sectorial strategies to achieve significant impact on gender and women's rights.
∎ Enhance knowledge, skills, and sector specific know-how and technical expertise of PMs.
∎ Provide strategic directions and ensure overall coaching and mentoring for effective decision making of GI program managers/ managers and team members.
∎ Ensure budget analysis, budget projection, cost efficiency and effective fund management.
∎ Lead in effective application of Results Based Management tools, establishment of management targets and monitoring achievement of results.
∎ Report to BRAC senior management on GM progress of programmes and enterprises.
∎ Provide strategic input and support to GJD management and programmes focusing on achievement of the results through gender analysis and reports, strategic document and policy analysis, product development and capturing learning for knowledge sharing.
∎ Represent BRAC in different donors/partners, network meetings and engage in platforms and flag BRAC's contribution to GEWE in Bangladesh.
∎ Provide technical support and guidance to GJD other units for capacity building, results tracking, capturing learning, best practices, advocacy and networking.
∎ Strategically contribute to organizational gender equality culture building and change management.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirement:
∎ 10-15 years professional experience in social development field, preferably in NGOs, INGOs/GOB. At least 7 years of working experience in the field of gender mainstreaming.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Have knowledge and understanding on gender and women development, gender mainstreaming and capacity to link with other development agenda.
∎ Extensive experience in capacity development role at senior level and good ability to facilitate learning and knowledge management.
∎ Have leadership ability and people management skills.
∎ Capacity to work in partnership with multi-sector team, including coordinating and providing technical inputs.
∎ Have skills on analytical ability, strategic planning, decision making and problem solving, communication and documentation.
