Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology
∎ Essential Laboratory Technician diploma /degree (03 Years).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ According to medical prescription, preparing and performing clinical exams/tests with appropriate techniques and following MSF protocols and procedures. This function includes, among others:
∎ Centrifuging blood samples and storing according to SOPs.
∎ Performing laboratory exams as per need.
∎ Ensuring proper storage of samples and packing for transport (from study site to external lab).
∎ Ensuring proper reporting and registration of the sample results in order to keep a written track of activity and give information to the relevant persons, ensuring confidentiality.
∎ Taking care, manage and organize efficiently the laboratory material/equipment:
∎ Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning
∎ Applying hygiene and safety protocols, doing daily cleaning /maintenance, sterilization, washing general glassware after procedures are done.
∎ Ensuring proper sample waste disposal according to MSF protocols and highest safety standards.
∎ Supplying orders, do stock, storage conditions follow-up, keep inventory.
∎ Keeping organized the data collection system of laboratory results and all information generated from the analysis done.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum one (01) year working experience as lab technician. Desirable, previous experience in research.
∎ Knowledge and experience performing Gram Staining, will be an asset.
∎ Having a good command in English is highly desirable, written and spoken.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
∎ MSF OCBA is looking for a sensible and mature person who is meticulous in following protocols, able to work independently, a quick learner and most importantly, enthusiastic to participate in a research study.
Salary:
∎ Salary according to level 5 of the internal MSF salary grid = 47,477 BDT. Two (02) annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.
