Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of greenhouse crop production, irrigation, plant nutrition, and crop protection.

  • Previous experience with greenhouse climate-control systems such as Priva, iivo, HortiMax, is preferred.

  • English communication skills are an advantage.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

The Junior Grower supports the Senior Grower in the daily management of greenhouse crops. The role is mainly focused on monitoring the crop, following daily activities, collecting data, identifying problems early, and making sure the crop plan is followed correctly by the operational team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor crops daily and follow plant growth, development, quality, and general crop condition.

  • Support the implementation of the cultivation plan from planting through harvest.

  • Follow daily crop activities such as transplanting, pruning, de-leafing, lowering, plant training, harvesting, and crop removal.

  • Check crops for pests, diseases, physiological disorders, and other plant problems and report any concerns.

  • Monitor temperature, humidity, CO₂, irrigation, EC, pH, and drainage and highlight any deviations.

  • Follow irrigation and fertigation performance and support routine crop measurements and sampling.

  • Follow IPM, hygiene, sanitation, biosecurity, quality, and safety procedures.

  • Keep the Senior Grower updated on crop performance and immediately report any important crop or operational issues.
