Educational Requirements:
∎ University degree in environmental studies, social or natural science, public administration or other relevant field, masters level degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for:
∎ managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior,
∎ assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups,
∎ advise supervisor on all tasks when implementing GIZ rules and regulations,
∎ advise supervisor in the field of project's planning, steering and monitoring,
∎ independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager,
∎ make decisions that have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit,
∎ assist supervisor to identify day to day problems and suggesting appropriate solutions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional experience: at least 2 years of professional experience.
∎ Other knowledge, additional competences
∎ ability to work well under pressure,
∎ excellent presentation skills,
∎ excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
∎ fluency in English is important,
∎ familiarity with development cooperation,
∎ ability to work in an intercultural environment,
∎ good working knowledge on ICT (phone, fax, email, the internet and computer applications e.g. MS Office), data management skills will be an advantage,
∎ sensitivity, discrete and flexible to respond to changing needs.
