Experience:
Diploma degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (after HSC). Candidates with 4-year diplomas after SSC can also apply.
Required Competences & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support and electrical systems maintenance.
Experience working in humanitarian or emergency response settings is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware and software issues.
Knowledge of power systems, including solar and generator maintenance.
Familiarity with data systems and mobile-based platforms for program monitoring.
Understanding of safety protocols related to electrical systems and IT security.
Interpersonal Skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills in English and Bengali (knowledge of Rohingya/Chattogram dialects is a plus).
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and challenging environment.
Age Limit:
Maximum 35 years (on 1st December, 2024), but highly experienced candidates’ age will be flexible.

1. Job Context:
Reporting to the Project Engineer Construction, the IT and Electrical Service Technician will provide technical support for IT systems and electrical infrastructure critical to the successful implementation of integrated nutrition interventions in the Rohingya refugee camp. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT equipment, power systems, and other essential devices to ensure uninterrupted program operations.

Job Description / Responsibility:
Under the direct supervision of Project Engineer Construction, this position will undertake the following tasks:
IT Support
Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and networks (computers, printers, routers, modems).
Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for program staff and field teams.
Manage data systems used for nutrition program monitoring, including mobile devices and cloud-based platforms.
Conduct regular backups of critical data and ensure the security of IT systems.
Train program staff on the use of IT equipment and software as needed.
Electrical Services
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including solar panels, inverters, and generators.
Monitor and ensure a reliable power supply for IT systems, cold-chain equipment, and nutrition program operations.
Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
Coordination and Reporting
Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure equipment availability and timely repairs.
Document and report incidents, repairs, and maintenance schedules to the program manager.
Support procurement teams in sourcing high-quality IT and electrical equipment.
Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place.
Be aware of, understand and comply with all of SHED`s policies and procedures (Gender & Protection, finance, logistics and procurement, HR, security management, PSEA etc.)
Work in a manner that protects confidentiality at all times
Salary Range:
30,000 (Thirty Thousand Taka Only)
Duration: This is an anticipatory position and expected to start from January 2025 to December 2025.
