Educational Requirements:
∎ Undergraduate/ graduate degree in Social Science or any related field from an accredited academic institution.
Job Context:
∎ Classification : Intern, Grade OTHER
∎ Type of Appointment : Internship, 03 months
∎ Estimated Start Date : As soon as possible
∎ Working under the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and direct supervision of National Operations Officer, the Interns will assist the activities of AVRR team of the Mission.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with the activities and operational procedures for general return and reintegration assistance.
∎ This includes responsibilities related to:
∎ Assist following-up on specific reintegration- related mechanisms, such as doing initial contact, registration, and document collection from the returnee migrants;
∎ Follow-up with the returnee migrants for confirming accuracy of their documents received in support of RA grants;
∎ Prepare cases (draft) for RA grant approval prior to sending by the respective Caseworker to IOM Reintegration team of CoDs;
∎ Assist respective Caseworker, with whom they are attached to, by providing reintegration related information of the cases assigned for as and when so is required;
∎ Contact with the returnees to collect cheques of RA grant from IOM Bangladesh Office;
∎ Attend internal meetings related to the team's activities; and
∎ Undertake any other tasks as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Languages: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Bangla is an advantage.
