BRAC Migration Programme is working towards the goal to reduce exploitation in all forms of migration and to support migrants and returnees so that they can contribute to the development of the country and abroad. With the objectives to ensure safe, orderly, skilled, and responsible migration both internally and internationally, to reduce all forms of trafficking-in-persons and smuggling of migrants and to provide Immediate Assistance and to ensure the well-being of returnees, trafficking survivors, and their family members through sustainable reintegration, BRAC Migration Programme has been working on migration issues to enhance the conditions of the large workforce through supporting them in several stages of migration over the last 18 years.
Job Purpose
The Information Officer and Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling services to migrants and their families at the airport. Duties include offering emergency support to returnees, referring them to relevant service providers, and documenting cases for future reference. The role also involves coordinating with District Reintegration Service Centre (DRSC) counselors to ensure effective service delivery.
