∎ General Functions:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub Office Deputy Chief Of Mission in Cox`s Bazar and the direct supervision of the Public Information Officer, the responsibility of the Graphic Designer is to produce visual components, templates and factsheets, and to establish a visual identity for the mission, in line with IOM`s visibility standards.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop high quality graphs, charts, and analytics and illustrative maps, diagrams, graphics, layout reports, factsheets, and other publication materials;
∎ Assist in creating a mission graphic identity, based on already existing tools and materials and in line with IOM's visual requirements;
∎ Assist in standardizing all existing products and templates such as factsheets, presentation, situation reports as well as fonts, formatting, icons, images and layout techniques;
∎ Assess new standards, technologies and trends in line with IOM's visibility needs;
∎ Contribute to web content development, internally and externally;
∎ Assist in developing web design mock-ups for internal and external platforms;
∎ Performs other duties as may be required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Three years of experience in graphic design;
∎ Advanced proficiency with software packages, most specifically Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and MS Office (Publisher, PowerPoint);
∎ Basic knowledge of GIS and web mapping is an asset.
∎ Knowledge of foundational concepts in relation to protection and protection mainstreaming (IASC Protection Policy, Sphere Standards, Child Protection Minimum Standards, ICRC Professional Protection Standards, GBV Standard Operating Procedures; IASC GBV Guidelines; IASC Gender Handbook; WHO Ethical and Safety Recommendations for Researching, Documenting and Monitoring Sexual Violence in Emergencies; Camp Management Toolkit etc.)
∎ Knowledge of IASC cluster system and inter-agency work in crisis response
∎ Candidate must be familiar with the UN system
