∎ Type of Appointment: One Year Fixed Term
∎ General Functions:
∎ Under overall supervision of Deputy Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Head of Migration Data and Research unit and in close coordination with the Senior Regional Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Project Manager in IOM`s Global Data Institute (GDI), the incumbent will support the coordination, and implementation of projects under the unit including DTM REMAP (II). The incumbent will be requested to perform the following tasks:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the planning and the implementation of IM activities under the unit including the REMAP project.
∎ Responsible for regular data monitoring and updating DTM databases in line with SoPs linked to IM workflows set in IOM including DTM.
∎ Contribute to the development and enhancement of the integrated methodology for data collection and information packing as required by global IOM and DTM standards.
∎ Support data monitoring and IOM/ DTM standards and principles.
∎ Support the development and visualization of output products, such as info sheets, reports and (interactive) dashboards.
∎ Evaluate data and information gaps across Bangladesh and propose adjustments to improve ongoing data collection exercises to strengthen overall consolidation and
∎ Travel to DTM field operations across Bangladesh when necessary to support DTM project
∎ implementation.
∎ Comply with relevant IOM policies, especially on Data Protection and Information and
∎ Communications Technology (ICT) standards on data and information security.
∎ Demonstrate commitment to the Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (PSEA) and ensure mainstreaming of PSEA in DTM operations.
∎ Provide administrative and logistical support as needed.
∎ Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in information management, reporting, coordination, and analysis of data from large and complex information systems.
∎ Expertise on data processing and analysis software (MS-Excel, SPSS, STATA, Tableau or others).
∎ Documented experience related to KOBO survey design.
∎ Documented experience related to data visualization in Adobe InDesign and/or Power BI
∎ Documented experience of using system analysis methods and data modelling tools, relational databases and object-oriented programming would be an advantage.
∎ Experience in the development and implementation of population database systems (such as registrations, census, or surveys).
∎ Experience using the following tools is an advantage: Access, Visual Basic, Java, ASP, SQL or Oracle.
