Job Context:
∎ HI has been operating in Bangladesh since 1997, implementing emergency and development actions aimed at improving the protection, quality of life, and the promotion of rights of vulnerable individuals, including people with disabilities. HI`s current operations are centered Northern (Kurigram) and Southern parts (Cox Bazar). Currently, HI`s major operation is located in FDMN ( Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National/Rohingya refugee in a) camp in Cox Bazar with 3 field offices; Cox, Ukhiya, and Teknaf. HI- Bangladesh country strategy/startup ( 2021-2023) with one of the great focuses to create an operational balance between developmental and emergency operation; hence while maintaining the current emergency operation in Cox Bazar; HI is also extensively working to further expand the program to others part of the country including host community of Cox`s Bazar. HI, current operation in Bangladesh mainly includes disability-inclusive extreme poverty graduation project, Inclusive Sports and Education, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection and MHPSS, Inclusive Humanitarian Responses, Inclusive Education, and Atlas Logistic (H2H logistic support), etc. and operation is currently funded by BPRM, UNHCR, WFP, UNICEF, ECHO, HI Federation.
∎ Number of staff: Around 274 National staff and 06 international staff
∎ HI is currently looking for an ICT Support Officer for its "Logistics Department". It is a senior-level position. Reporting to the Country Logistics Manager, the objective of this position is to provide appropriate focus and leadership to the ICT support improvement efforts. ICT Support Officer will be the main focal point of all ICT-related user support requests and should take full ownership to proactively resolve the issues to the satisfaction of the user within agreed timelines.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: As early as possible to 31 December 2022 with the possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Lead Country office and field ICT support team:
∎ Day-to-day task allocation of the members of the ICT support team.
∎ Receive and record all ICT support requests received from users/programs/departments.
∎ Monitoring and coordination for timely resolution of all ICT support issues.
∎ Escalation to vendors/services providers if required for support issue resolution.
∎ 2. Regular Maintenance of ICT equipment:
∎ Ensure timely preventive maintenance of all PCs. Laptops, Printers, Scanners, UPS, Projectors, etc
∎ Coordinate repair of any ICT hardware as required in-house or through vendors.
∎ Liaison with manufacturers/suppliers for procurement/up-gradation/service and maintenance of hardware, software, server, databases, and other IT services.
∎ Troubleshooting ICT systems and their equipment.
∎ 3. Coordinate with Field office (FO) ICT support personnel:
∎ Ensure regular/weekly update calls with FO ICT officers to get status updates.
∎ Advise, and guide FO ICT officers in providing efficient and timely support to all FO users.
∎ From time to time visit FOs to inspect and check high standards of ICT support and setup are maintained.
∎ 4. Maintain ICT Stores, Pools, Documents & Reporting:
∎ Keep Track of ICT assets in collaboration with the Supply Chain and General Service team of the Logistics unit.
∎ Be responsible for ICT stores of new & spare equipment, tools, and accessories.
∎ Maintain ICT equipment pools for allocation as per requests.
∎ Maintain files and registers for all ICT services, approvals, invoices, deliveries, and issues.
∎ Keep track of all the licenses of OS, Microsoft Office, Kaspersky antivirus, and other software.
∎ Prepare monthly KPI & SLA compliance reporting for ICT support function as per the agreed framework.
∎ 5. Monitoring of Internet Services:
∎ Check all VPN connections and their traffic.
∎ Monitor that internet devices are functioning smoothly.
∎ Spam and virus protection.
∎ Tracking filtering and monitoring bandwidth traffic (live IP, Gateway, Router).
∎ 6. IT Security, Backup, and Disaster Recovery:
∎ Ensure that regular/weekly data backup record is taken.
∎ Assist to manage disaster recovery plan.
∎ Maintain antivirus software and update that regularly and take precautionary measures against viruses/bugs and aware staff accordingly.
∎ Ensure data protection security.
∎ Ensure all devices connected to the HI network and all software installed thereof are updated with required software patches.
∎ Periodically perform audits on a randomly selected device to check compliance with ICT Security policies.
∎ 7. Logistics support for special meetings & events
∎ Provide ICT technical and logistical support for meetings and events.
∎ Issue ICT equipment and materials for different off-premises events.
∎ Assist programs and Supply Chain units with ICT-related procurement, specification, configuration, etc.
∎ Receive new IT products and check their functionality.
∎ 8. General:
∎ Initiate ICT-related Training/Awareness sessions for common users.
∎ Willing and ready to work in responding to any natural disaster or emergency anywhere in Bangladesh.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Preferably 05 years of working experience in a relevant field in which preferably 02 years of working experience particularly in a supervisory position will be an added advantage.
∎ Should have updated professional working knowledge, skills, and practice of the latest technologies, tools, and methods.
∎ Good Interpersonal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent in teamwork and networking with different stakeholders.
∎ Technical skills in installation and maintenance of IT networks.
∎ Familiarity with the latest network models, ideas, and developments will be desirable.
∎ Knowledge of Cisco Routing, Switching, and Firewall administration.
∎ Familiarity with IT rules, regulations, structure, and procedures.
∎ Autonomous, Organized, and Adaptable.
∎ Solution-oriented: Problem-solving and decision-making capacity.
∎ Applying technical and professional expertise.
