Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Generic Management:
∎ In close collaboration with the HP manager, participating in the definition and update of the HP/IEC strategy and identifying indicators in order to monitor HP activities, results, and achievements. Supporting the HP manager in organizing and carrying out assessments and research on the impact of HP activities and identifying and reporting the constraints, difficulties or strength points of the HP strategy inside and outside the medical structures in order to reinforce the link between the communities and the project
∎ Providing support in selecting and developing quality pedagogical communication strategies towards the community. Planning information campaigns, including targets, objectives, methods and goals in order to increase awareness among the targeted population.
∎ Informing, according to protocols, community members and identified risk groups (prisons, army, sexual workers, etc.) about health related issues
∎ Organizing health awareness sessions for MSF's medical and non-medical staff
∎ Identifying key actors (local authorities, local NGOs, traditional healers, formal or informal authorities) and being the focal point for the networking in order to support the dissemination of health information of the target population, and be the point of reference for the relation and networking with these subjects.
∎ Organizing, training, and supervising the HP team in terms of planning and organizing their work, supporting, evaluating and coaching of personnel, collecting reports and reporting the activities of each health worker and regularly visiting communities that are under his/her responsibility
∎ Supervising, in close collaboration with the HR department, the HR associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
∎ Ensuring cleanliness of IEC (information, education and communication) areas
∎ Collecting and reporting to the medical team any information linked to the health situation of the population and the patient.
∎ Implementing programmes and supervising health awareness:
∎ Contribute to the development of strategies to implement health promotion and community engagemnt activities in line with project medical strategy.
∎ Ensure all outreach activities are performed in a manner that demonstrates respect and dignity to beneficieres.
∎ Identify community engagement opportunties to promote and encourage positive health seeking behaviors.
∎ Ensure close collaboration with Epi Surveillance Team according to MSF guidlenes and agreed upon task-distribution
∎ Assist in organizing specific activities outside the regular functionig (Mobilization for vaccination campaing, Outbreak respose, Defaulter tracing, Mass distribution etc.)Participate in surveys, rapid health assessment and other information gathering activities).
∎ Responsible for training, supervising and monitoring of helath promotion activites in the field.
∎ Human resources management:
∎ Overall responsibility for ensuring that roasters are prepared for his/her team.
∎ Responsible for planning and managing different leave days(eg: Annual leave, Casual leave etc.) of team members.
∎ Responsible for following up attendence and prepare payment sheet of volunteer.
∎ Maintain a database with contact details and work/duty location of the staff and volunteer.
∎ Close monitoring of team composition to identify needs of staffing based on programme requirements.
∎ Train and coach community volunteer team leader and head of community health educators as a part of capacity building of the local community to enhance community problem- solving capacity, responsibility, and ownership of the BKL Community Project.
∎ Support and supervise team leaders, empowering them to in turn coach community volunteers and health educators to perform their health promotion responsiblities to the best of their abilities
∎ Evaluation and performance management of staff in a regular basis.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Submit weekly, monthly and any required report to line manager with necessary analysis
∎ Responsible for collecting and systematic reproting of information related to humanitarian affairs.
∎ Reporting security and context update, mortality and morbidity with line manager in a timely manner and responsible way.
∎ Has an overall responsibility for ensuring that the data collected is cross-checked and reported to the line manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential working experience in health promotion activities, or training-education activities for at least 2 years.
∎ Experience in supervising a team is desirable.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 70056 - 84067 (Monthly)
∎ Salary according to level 7 of the internal MSF salary grid, which is 70,056 BDT gross. Two annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependent.
