Job Responsibilities:
∎ In close collaboration with the HP manager, participating in the definition and update of the HP/IEC strategy and identifying indicators in order to monitor HP activities, results, and achievements. Supporting the HP manager in organizing and carrying out assessments and research on the impact of HP activities and identifying and reporting the constraints, difficulties or strength points of the HP strategy inside and outside the medical structures in order to reinforce the link between the communities and the project
∎ Providing support in selecting and developing quality pedagogical communication strategies towards the community. Planning information campaigns, including targets, objectives, methods and goals in order to increase awareness among the targeted population.
∎ Informing, according to protocols, community members and identified risk groups (prisons, army, sexual workers, etc.) about health related issues
∎ Organizing health awareness sessions for MSF's medical and non-medical staff
∎ Identifying key actors (local authorities, local NGOs, traditional healers, formal or informal authorities) and being the focal point for the networking in order to support the dissemination of health information of the target population, and be the point of reference for the relation and networking with these subjects.
∎ Organizing, training, and supervising the HP team in terms of planning and organizing their work, supporting, evaluating and coaching of personnel, collecting reports and reporting the activities of each health worker and regularly visiting communities that are under his/her responsibility
∎ Supervising, in close collaboration with the HR department, the HR associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
∎ Ensuring cleanliness of IEC (information, education and communication) areas
∎ Collecting and reporting to the medical team any information linked to the health situation of the population and the patient
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
∎ Implementing programmes and supervising health awareness:
∎ Assist in the development of strategies to improve preventive care through effective awarness raising, helath education and health promotion to the beneficieries.
∎ Ensuring all outreach activities are performed in a manner that demonstrates respect and dignity to beneficieres.
∎ Assist in organizing specific activities outside the regular functionig (Mobilization for vaccination campaing, Outbreak respose, Defaulter tracing, Mass distribution etc.)
∎ Responsible for implementation and management of community-based surveillance according to MSF guidelines.
∎ Participate in surveys, rapid health assessment and other information gathering activities.
∎ Responsible for training, supervising and monitoring of helath promotion activites in the field.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Responsible for collecting, analysing and systematic reproting of information related to humanitarian affairs.
∎ Reporting security and context update, mortality and morbidity with line manager in a timely manner and responsible way.
∎ Has an overall responsibility for ensuring that the data collected is cross-checked and reported to the line manager.
∎ Human resources management:
∎ Overall responsibility for ensuring that roasters are prepared for his/her team.
∎ Responsible for planning and managing different leave days(eg: Annual leave, Casual leave etc.) of team members.
∎ Responsible for following up attendence and prepare payment sheet of volunteer.
∎ Maintain a database with contact details and work/duty location of the staff and volunteer.
∎ Close monitoring of team composition to identify needs of staffing based on programme requirements.
∎ Evaluation and performance management of staff in a regular basis.
∎ Organize continous sensitization of community health promotion team.
∎ Other activities:
∎ Flexible to gapfill and support in emergency response.
∎ Able to walk in muddy, hilly road in different weather (Rain/Summer).
∎ Maintains effectiveness in achieving objectives by adapting with modification of circumstances, contexts, tasks and responsibilities.
∎ Maintain a positive attitude and able to perform in stressful situation.
∎ Maintain collaboration with team members and other departments to work together towards a common goal.
∎ Team motivation and empowerment for carrying out responsibilities.

∎ Age at least 18 years

∎ Essential working experience in MSF (1 year minimum) in health promotion activities, or training-education activities.
∎ Mission language and local language essential.
∎ Desirable basic computer skills

Salary:
∎ Contract length: Six months (06 Months with 3 months probationary period)
