Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Audit Planning and Execution: Assist in developing the annual internal audit plan. Perform end-to-end audits of financial transactions, operational processes, and internal controls. Group units field audits as required.
∎ Risk Identification and Management: Assess internal risks across departments including finance, procurement, operations, inventory, and HR. Analyze existing controls and propose enhancements to mitigate identified risks.
∎ Compliance and Regulatory Assurance: Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, including Income Tax, VAT, Customs Act, and Company Act. Evaluate adherence to international accounting standards and corporate policies.
∎ Reporting and Recommendations: Draft comprehensive internal audit reports highlighting key findings and suggested corrective actions. Present audit results to senior management with actionable insights.
∎ Implementation Monitoring: Follow up on agreed audit recommendations and track implementation status. Maintain regular communication with departments to ensure compliance with audit resolutions.
∎ Process Review and Improvement: Conduct process audits to identify inefficiencies, waste or areas for cost savings. Recommend practical solutions to enhance business performance and internal control effectiveness.
∎ Support and Supervision: Assist in supervising junior auditors and guiding them through audit procedures and best practices. Support the audit manager in coordinating internal and external audit engagements.
∎ Special Assignments: Participate in fraud investigations, forensic audits, and ad hoc reviews as directed by the management.
