Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in business administration, development studies or relevant social sciences such as Feminist Economics, etc.
Job Context:
∎ The position will lead the Economic Inclusion and Justice thematic work of Oxfam in Bangladesh. The Head of Economic Inclusion and Justice will focus on delivering the following areas
∎ Innovating resilient livelihoods and food security initiatives to support the under represented, women, and youth in ecologically vulnerable zones.
∎ Partnering with the private sector, developing incubation labs for small-scale social enterprises, especially the ones that are led by women and young people from vulnerable communities.
∎ Create a technologically enabled platform to empower young business leaders, identify small-scale but high-potential business ideas and support initiatives for the scale-up of such initiatives.
∎ Location: Dhaka (with field visits as per requirement).
∎ Job type: Fixed Term.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience in market assessment, gender transformative value chain development, gender lens investing, social enterprise and SME development, skills development and TVET, food security and livelihood, capacity assessment, and capacity building process facilitation
Salary:
∎ As per Oxfam National C1 pay band with other benefits e.g., medical for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, leave & insurance.
