∎ Age 35 to 45 years
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure timely in-house arrival of bulk fabric as per production schedule.
∎ Verify fabric quality, quantity, and specifications upon receipt.
∎ Conduct fabric inspections to identify defects.
∎ Oversee shrinkage, shade band, and weight (GSM) tests before bulk cutting.
∎ Approve fabric for bulk cutting after ensuring it meets quality standards.
∎ Collaborate with QC and production teams to address fabric inconsistencies.
∎ Identify potential risks (shrinkage, spirality, shading) and implement corrective actions.
∎ Adjust spreading and cutting plans based on test results.
∎ Plan fabric consumption and allocate rolls efficiently to minimize wastage.
∎ Monitor fabric usage during spreading to ensure optimal yield.
∎ Communicate with the responsible on fabric rejections, replacements, and additional requirements.
∎ Follow up on pending deliveries to avoid production delays.
∎ Maintain records of fabric inspections, approvals, and rejections.
∎ Generate fabric status reports for the merchandising and production teams.
∎ Ensure fabric is released to the cutting table with proper quality checks.
∎ Provide technical support during fabric spreading and cutting.
∎ Work closely with pattern, cutting, and sewing teams to resolve fabric-related issues.
∎ Assist merchandisers in ensuring smooth fabric flow throughout the production process.
