Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate affairs strategy aligned with Edison Ventures’ vision and business goals.
Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on public policy, regulatory risks, and reputational matters.
Act as the primary point of contact between Business Units and government ministries, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, regulators, industry associations, and key external stakeholders.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting all business units.
Oversee internal and external communications, including media relations, crisis communication, and brand messaging.
Ensure consistent communication across all business units within the Ventures.
Develop and implement crisis management frameworks and lead response strategies during sensitive or high-risk situations.
Drive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and initiatives.
Lead the Ventures’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, ensuring they align with business values and create a measurable social impact.
Ensure alignment with global sustainability standards and reporting frameworks.
Ensure all business units comply with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage risks.
Lead policy development and ensure adherence across the Ventures.
Work closely with business unit heads, legal, HR, marketing, and operations teams.
Ensure alignment of corporate affairs initiatives with business priorities.
Manage import and export registrations, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Ensure & renew necessary approvals, environmental clearances, and industrial licenses.
Provide strategic recommendations to align business expansion with national policy priorities.
Serve as the lead spokesperson during corporate crises, ensuring the Group’s reputation is protected through timely and strategic communication.
