∎ Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on card products. Proven success in managing and growing card portfolios, achieving sales targets, and leading teams
∎ Strong leadership and team management abilities. Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies to drive growth, increase market share, and optimize profitability in the card business
∎ Proven experience in driving innovation, adapting to market trends, and managing change within the card business to stay competitive
∎ Age not exceeding 48 years as on April 12, 2025
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Strategic Leadership: Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly. Stay ahead of industry changes and ensure UCB's card products remain competitive and relevant to stay ahead of competitors
∎ Product Development: Oversee the development and launch of innovative credit card products and features to meet customer needs also ensure alignment with UCB's overall objectives and drive initiatives to enhance product offerings
∎ Marketing and Customer Acquisition: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase card usage and collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns and promotions
∎ Customer Service Excellence: Focus on improving the customer experience by delivering exceptional service, resolving complaints effectively, and driving customer loyalty through tailored card products and services
∎ Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards to mitigate business as well as operational risks
∎ Performance Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the credit card business. Provide regular updates to senior management on card business performance, market trends, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs)
∎ Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, operations, IT, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of card business strategies and the integration of new technologies and processes
∎ Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing card business team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
