Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Contribute to grant management strategy by participating in Grant Management meetings, troubleshooting issues, and addressing audit findings.
∎ Support consortium management, donor negotiations, and external representation on behalf of BRAC to strengthen partnerships.
∎ Oversee grant reporting, donor communications, and compliance tracking to ensure timely, high-quality submissions and adherence to requirements.
∎ Lead grant-related meetings, including kick-off, review, and close-out sessions, while ensuring follow-ups and stakeholder coordination.
∎ Manage due diligence, partner collaboration, and issue resolution, representing the Cluster in global grant management discussions and training.
∎ Review proposals, contracts, and subgrant agreements to ensure adherence to BRAC and donor compliance policies and support partner vetting and training.
∎ Collaborate with leadership to address complex compliance issues, influence grant management policies, and support cluster and resource mobilization with a compliance-focused approach.
∎ Draft sub-grant agreements using approved templates, ensuring donor compliance, and escalating any potential issues to leadership.
∎ Support grant budgeting by reviewing proposal budgets, and providing inputs for the Cluster Master Budget.
∎ Monitor grant and portfolio spending, maintain portfolio and reporting trackers, and analyse data to resolve issues.
∎ Support cluster in developing and implementing action plans based on grant metrics and indicators.
∎ Use the Grant Management System to monitor the Cluster’s portfolio, track performance, and provide key insights.
∎ Maintain grant files in accordance with BRAC procedures and act as the Cluster’s lead on the Grant Management System, ensuring data quality and adherence to guidelines.
∎ Develop expertise in the system’s dashboard functionality, keeping data updated and using it for informed decision-making.
∎ Oversee capacity building and learning in the grant management team.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ Job Purpose: The Grant Management Lead will oversee the strategic and operational stewardship of donor resources for BRAC’s Health Cluster, ensuring compliance with donors and key stakeholders. This role also includes managing a complex portfolio of 30 restricted grants from diverse donors, applying key organisational procedures, enhancing compliance knowledge, and minimising disallowances. The Lead will recommend improvements that strengthen donor compliance.
