Job Context:
∎ The Government Liaison & Immigration Assistant is responsible to assist/ support all Government prescribed activities and strategy in Bangladesh in order to accurately represent the organization in liaisons with the GoB.
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed term
∎ Duration of the contract: till December 2020

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1.Visa and work permit processing:
∎ Prepare invitations letters for expatriate visitors' visas in Bangladesh
∎ Process N / FN Visas for HI expatriate staff members and families
∎ Support obtaining Work Permit through NGOAB and relevant ministries for the expats working for HI in Bangladesh.
∎ Process visa extension (N Visa) on timely manner.
∎ Assist expats in leaving the country.
∎ When needed, work with NSI and SB for Security Clearance.
∎ Assist in submitting visas for international travel for staff members.
∎ 2.Support tasks & relation with NGOAB:
∎ Assist Gov. Liaison focal point for general communication/ submission with NGOAB
∎ Support consolidating narrative and financial parts and fill them into NGOAB templates (FDs).
∎ Support submission of project approval forms (FDs) to NOGAB and communicates for timely approval as necessary.
∎ Support submission of annual report, and audit reports and follow-up until they are
∎ cleared as necessary
∎ Support gathering and consolidating information to answer NGOAB queries as directed/
∎ necessary.
∎ 3.Provide support to other GoV Ministry related tasks
∎ Communicating with different GoV Ministries as necessary.
∎ Filing / organising all documents of different FDs.
∎ Support to external auditors during NGO AB required audit.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 21 to 60 years
∎ Essential:
∎ Experience: Work experience with the NGO Affairs Bureau, NSI, SB and Immigration department is a must
∎ Typing in English and Bengali, Computer literate, productive user of internet, emails, and MS application programs, especially Excel.
∎ Understanding the principles of team work, particularly working with multi-cultural and/or multi-disciplinary teams.
∎ At least 3 years' experience on job related issues with the government and INGOs for visa processing.
∎ 3 Years with International NGOs in supporting with NOGAB and other Govt. Ministries for NGO project approvals and visa processing.
∎ Good knowledge of Bangladesh administrative procedure and hierarchy (protocol etc)

Salary: Tk. 38000 - 43000 (Monthly)
