Experience:
Minimum 1 years of work experience in Nutrition program or GMP activity
Familiar with local language / candidate from Chittagong region will be preferable
Working experience with ACF / Refugee camp will be benefit.
Strong understanding and field level experience of Refugee camps and recommended implementation guideline.
Proven experience in team management, supervision, reporting, etc)
Objective 1: To ensure accurate growth monitoring, provide counseling on child nutrition and care, and engage caregivers in addressing growth concerns, while promoting and enrollment in nutrition-sensitive interventions and referring children with health issues to appropriate services
Ensure accurate anthropometric measurements (weight, height, and other relevant indices) correctly measure with the support of volunteer, and provide appropriate counseling to caregivers based on these measurements.
Supervise the work of measurer volunteers at the anthropometric points, ensuring the quality of measurements and making corrections as needed.
Record growth measurements on GMP cards and engage with caregivers to discuss the child’s growth and development, addressing concerns and acknowledging progress.
Discuss growth patterns with caregivers, involving them in identifying and solving issues related to their child`s growth.
Encourage caregivers of children under five to attend GMP sessions monthly, ensuring continuous monitoring until the child reaches five years of age.
Enroll eligible children (24-59 months) in the nutrition-sensitive e-voucher program to help access diversified food rations.
Promote awareness and participation in other health and nutrition services, including immunization and micronutrient supplementation, to support the child’s optimal growth and development.
Refer children with severe growth issues to appropriate health services, such as Health Centres, for further management.
Collaborate with outreach teams to organize home visits and follow-up visits for children showing signs of faltering weight, identifying challenges in feeding and caregiving practices.
Ensure caregivers understand their child’s progress as reflected in the growth charts, providing them with opportunities to ask questions and address concerns regarding childcare.
Objective 2: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity report.
Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
Ensure the incorporation of PSEA and gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
