Experience:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Marketing, or a related Business Administration discipline from a reputable university. An MBA or specialized degree in Garment Merchandising is highly advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in apparel marketing and merchandising within a 100% export-oriented woven/knit garment manufacturing environment.
Market Portfolio: Proven track record of handling reputable European buyers (specifically French buyers is an asset) with verified case studies of onboarding new international accounts.
Key Skills: Strong command over technical apparel features, textile specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Communication: Impeccable business communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English. Professional proficiency in French or other European languages will be treated as a major competitive advantage.
Market Expansion & Order Generation: Formulate and execute strategic marketing initiatives to enter new segments within the European market and other global regions. Procure substantial, profitable production orders from well-reputed global buyers and retailers.
Client Acquisition & Networking: Actively identify potential clients, clothing lines, department stores, and sourcing hubs. Pitch Dips Apparel’s manufacturing capabilities and secure long-term contracts.
Relationship Management: Maintain and deeply fortify existing buyer relationships, specifically focusing on expanding accounts within France and Western Europe.
Costing & Negotiation: Oversee the precise product costing, FOB pricing structures, and sample development, ensuring highly competitive quotes that maintain factory profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams to ensure accurate sample execution, strictly meeting customer specifications and promised lead times.
Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of shifting global fashion trends, European compliance laws, trade policies, and competitor landscapes to strategically position our product range.
