Retired Major/ Lieutenant Colonel of Bangladesh Army or having working experience in Govt./Private Economic Zone will get preference.
Responsibilities & Context:
Civil Construction:
Ensure project timelines, stage-wise deliverables and associated tasks as approved design & drawing.
Review material and equipment requisition plans proposed by in-house engineers for each construction deliverable comparing to market rate.
Coordinate with procurement team on negotiating with vendors/contractors, vendor/contractor selection if necessary.
Explain Engineering Team desired outcomes and deadlines.
Ensure that safety and security measures are taken and maintained at project sites.
Regularly liaison with project/site engineers to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
Take regular work updates from the site engineers.
To ensure keeping updated records of design & drawing of all projects.
Operation:
Maintain relationship with investors.
Making coordination with unit investors to realize receivable payment.
Provide guidance for enhancing the internal operations of engineering departments/teams/work groups including Administration, Accounts, Store and Commercial etc.
Follow up and manage costs to ensure budget.
Prepare periodic progress reports for management and give presentations when required.
To ensure standard manpower setup.
Regulatory Issues:
Maintain liaison with BEZA, BIDA, different Govt. office, Corporate, Private sector offices and other regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance issues at all level and everywhere.
Ensuring updated records of different licenses, permission, NOC etc.
