Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the Commercial (import, export & bond) functions of the group execute in timely and cost effectively.
∎ Review or update Commercial activities / practices in accordance with new or changing standards, regulations and laws of national & international.
∎ Manage and control customs & revenue activities related to the company.
∎ Maintain proper liaison with BEPZA, Customs, VAT, Bond, freight forwarder, C&F, BGMEA, BKMEA, Shipping line, concern Bank, Trade bodies, insurance companies and related Govt. bodies as well as production, sourcing, merchandising, Supply chain, engineering and other related department for smooth functions of commercial activities.
∎ Preparing monthly/periodic comprehensive import & export statements with detailed coverage of all shipment quantities (excess shipments/short shipments), back to back expenditure, associated commercial/banking expenditures, buyer/agent/sourcing house commission and short payments received etc.
∎ Obtain/renewal of all kind of related licenses e.g. ERC, IRC, Trade License, RADE, TIN, VAT, EPB, BGMEA, BTMEA and Fire license.
∎ Negotiate with bank for preferential exchange rate for import and export.
∎ Maintain liaison for cash incentives of specific products.
∎ Follow up of import L/C and ensure proper HS Code for timely clearance from customs and save additional cost.
∎ Follow up with concern team member of EPB related work for issuance of CO/GSP/SAFTA/APTA/KPT/CHINA C/o & if any.
∎ Communicate with Banks for timely collection of Proceeds Realization Certificate (PRC).
∎ Responsible for Bond Licensing, Customs Auditing and related issues with customs Bond.
∎ To maintain in-bond and ex-bond register with custom.
∎ Prepare yearly import and export customs statement for Bond audit.
∎ Any other task assign by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge about the BEPZA import & export rules.
∎ Sound knowledge in CTPAT audit process.
∎ Must have knowledge about international Export & Import, Uniform Customs Procedure & international standard banking procedure.
∎ Sharp negotiating skills with a proven track record of successful negotiations.
∎ Work in innovative way for simplifying tasks and assignments.
∎ Good in problem solving and decision making skill which require independent and original thinking.
∎ The candidate must have experience in the EPZ base RMG sector.
