About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager – Business Development to lead revenue growth, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and customer acquisition initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software, IT services, SaaS, or digital transformation solutions and a proven track record of achieving sales targets, developing high-performing teams, and driving sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Generation
• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in government, enterprise, SME, and international markets.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent conversion of opportunities.
• Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, RFPs, and commercial negotiations.
Strategic Planning
• Develop annual sales plans, forecasting models, and growth strategies.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
• Establish strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach.
Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, C-level executives, and stakeholders.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and manage business development, sales, and account management teams.
• Set performance targets and monitor team productivity and achievement.
• Foster a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture.
Collaboration & Coordination
• Work closely with product, marketing, project delivery, and technical teams to align business objectives.
• Provide market feedback to support product development and innovation initiatives.
• Ensure seamless transition from sales to project implementation.
Reporting & Governance
• Prepare periodic business performance reports for executive management and the board.
• Monitor sales KPIs, revenue forecasts, customer acquisition costs, and profitability metrics.
