Experience:
Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, International Development, Social Sciences, Human Rights, or a related field.
Specialized training in gender equality or women’s empowerment is highly valued.
At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in gender equality, women’s rights, or social inclusion, ideally within the development or humanitarian sectors.
Demonstrated experience with gender analysis, policy development, and project implementation in areas such as economic empowerment, health, education, and political participation.
Strong understanding of gender and social inclusion frameworks, such as gender main-streaming, gender-based violence prevention, intersectionality, and rights-based approaches.
Knowledge of national and international gender equality policies, including frameworks like CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) and the Sustainable Development Goals (especially SDG 5 on gender equality).

For the team of our “Policy Advisory for Promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy II, PAP II”, we seek applications for the position of “Gender and Equality Specialist”.
Responsibilities
The position holder is responsible for the below tasks:
Managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior.
Assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups.
Advice supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation.
Advice supervisor in the field of project`s planning, steering and monitoring.
Independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager.
Make decisions which have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit.
Assist supervisor to identify day to day problem and suggest appropriate solution.
Ensure that gender considerations, gender-responsive approaches and practices are mainstreamed throughout project activities and interventions.
