Role Overview

The Floor Supervisor ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of hospital and diagnostic center floors. This role oversees patient care services, coordinates with medical and support staff, and ensures that all operations meet hospital standards for safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily activities on assigned hospital floors.

• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, diagnostic staff, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.

• Conduct regular floor rounds to check on patient comfort, service quality, and safety.

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and hygiene protocols.

• Oversee patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

• Address and resolve patient or visitor concerns promptly and professionally.

• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and performance on the floor.

• Ensure proper availability and use of medical equipment, supplies, and amenities.

• Maintain records, prepare shift reports, and share updates with management.

• Assist in training and guiding staff on patient care standards and service excellence.

• Support emergency response and handle escalations as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5 years in hospital/healthcare operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Patient-focused, empathetic, and service-oriented.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.

  • Familiarity with hospital information systems and basic medical terminology.

Working Conditions

• Hospital and diagnostic floor environment with direct patient interaction.

• Requires mobility (standing/walking) for extended periods.

• Shift-based role, including weekends and holidays as per hospital requirements.
