Experience:

Qualifications and Skills

• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on the role.
• Experience: Previous clinical experience in a hospital or diagnostic setting is preferred, with specific experience in emergency, critical care, or medical-surgical units being highly valued for certain roles.

Job Summary

The Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. They serve as a primary caregiver and patient advocate, ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of patients in accordance with established medical standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Patient assessment and monitoring:

•  Perform physical examinations, take patient medical histories, and accurately record vital signs.
• Observe, assess, and document patients' conditions, symptoms, and behaviors.
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions.

Medication and treatment administration:

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and other medical procedures safely and accurately.
• Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) therapies.
• Change wound dressings and perform other treatment options as required.

Patient care coordination:

• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Communicate relevant patient information and updates to the medical team, particularly during shift changes.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, and emergency situations when necessary.

Patient and family education:

• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, creating a compassionate environment.

Documentation and reporting:

• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or other charting systems.
• Prepare and submit all required clinical and administrative reports.

Safety and infection control:

• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and patient confidentiality (HIPAA) regulations.
• Ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment for patients and staff.
