Additional Requirements:

• Age 24 to 35 years

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in hotels or restaurants.

• Previous experience in a hotel gym, fitness centre, swimming pool, health club or recreation facility is preferred.

• Recognized lifeguard, first-aid or CPR certification will be an advantage.

• For positions specifically designated as Lifeguards, a valid recognized lifeguard certification is required.

• Basic knowledge of gym equipment and fitness-facility operations.

• Good understanding of pool safety and emergency procedures.

• Good communication and guest-service skills.

• Friendly, energetic and approachable personality.

• Physically fit and able to remain active for extended periods.

• Strong awareness of safety and hygiene standards.

• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities & Context:

About the Role
Q HOTEL Dhaka is seeking energetic, safety-conscious and guest-focused Fitness and Pool Attendants to ensure the safe, clean and professional operation of the hotel’s fitness centre and swimming pool facilities. You will assist guests, maintain high facility standards, monitor safety and help create a pleasant wellness experience that reflects five-star service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests and members using the gym and swimming-pool facilities.

• Provide information on facility rules, operating hours, equipment and available services.

• Monitor the gym and pool areas to ensure guest safety and compliance with facility regulations.

• Maintain a professional and visible presence in the fitness and pool areas.

• Keep gym equipment, pool surroundings, changing rooms and other areas clean and well organized.

• Conduct regular checks of gym equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.

• Ensure gym equipment is correctly positioned and safely available for guest use.

• Monitor pool conditions and report safety concerns or unusual conditions immediately.

• Ensure pool safety procedures and maximum occupancy limits are followed.

• Monitor guests in and around the pool area and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Assist certified lifeguards where applicable (this position does not replace a certified lifeguard where required).

• Maintain adequate supplies of towels and other guest amenities.

• Assist guests with lockers, changing facilities and other reasonable requests.

• Report accidents, injuries, unsafe behaviour or other incidents immediately to the relevant supervisor.

• Assist with emergency procedures and follow hotel emergency-response protocols.

• Coordinate with Engineering regarding gym equipment and pool-facility maintenance.

• Coordinate with Housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Assist with fitness classes, recreational activities and wellness programs where required.

• Promote available hotel fitness, recreation and wellness facilities to guests.

• Complete daily facility inspection checklists and shift handovers.

• Maintain professional grooming, appearance and conduct at all times.

• Follow all hotel SOPs, health and safety requirements and facility regulations.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Recreation Manager / Fitness Supervisor.
