Education:
∎ Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA, or international equivalent) or equivalent in experience

∎ Strong technical accounting skills, in relation to
∎ Bangladesh statutory accounting VAT, taxation and other compliance requirements
∎ Experience in preparing and managing payroll
∎ Experience in identifying and implementing process, system and control improvements
∎ Experience in building relationships with and managing internal and external stakeholders
∎ Experience in managing financial compliance to meet donor requirements.
∎ Good IT skills (Microsoft Office), including accounting and reporting packages and especially Excel.
∎ SUN systems / Q&A XL skills and experience
∎ Good written and verbal communication Including skills in English with the ability to present and explain financial information clearly to staff at all levels,.
∎ Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with strong attention to details
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in the non-profit and International Development sectors

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Salary : Annual Gross Salary: BDT 1,949,175
∎ Contract Type : Fixed Term
∎ Contract Length: 15 Months (renewable)
∎ Full Time : Full Time
∎ Start Date : 1 December 2024
∎ Purpose: Provide financial support on day-to-day financial operations and country Office grants including project and donor financial reporting for VSO in Bangladesh. This includes in-country finance statutory requirements, the production of accurate internal financial data and external financial statutory reports.
