∎ Must have previous experience in handling Tally software.

Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kallayan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. SKUS has since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children adolescents, women, and men. Based on children`s, adolescents`, women`s, and human rights. SKUS has established quality learning and protection centers with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ SKUS is implementing the "Safeguarding women`s and children`s rights in the Rohingya refugee crisis in Ukhiya sub-district in Bangladesh" project with the support of KNH-Germany and BMZ The project aims to improve particularly, women, children, and adolescents of Rohingya refugees in the camps and among the inhabitants of the host community`s well-being. The project also has aimed to secure their livelihoods and improve their ability to organize themselves.
∎ SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of Finance Manager for the project as mentioned above, supported by KNH-Germany. The Finance Manager will ensure sound and transparent administration of funds by providing accounting and financial management consistent with the SKUS financial procedures and local legislation.
∎ Contract Duration: The initial start-up project is until March 2021 and
∎ funds are secured for continuation
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accounts and Financial Management:
∎ Check bill-voucher, expenses report, party payment in compliance with the organizational Financial Policies, Procedures, respective Donor guidelines, and Government Rules and Regulations;
∎ Monitor and prevent all types of fraud, embzzelement and misappropiation
∎ Ensure timely entry to Tally ERP9 and make payment to vendors, staff advance and final settlement including bills, receipts, and dockets, are safely and securely filed following organizational procedures;
∎ Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all bank accounts maintained for the project;
∎ Prepare monthly/quarterly/Interim/periodic financial , inventory, assets reports for donor and organizational management;
∎ Prepare project budget, budget forcasting, monitor budget realization and revision of budget;
∎ Facilitate internal-external audit and response to the audit queries;
∎ Liaison with Bank, NBR, and other government department-stakeholders;
∎ Review the month salary sheet and ensure tax deducted at source accordingly
∎ Bringing to the Management's attention all financial systems and matters which are unclear and/or potential risk to the organization;
∎ Take the lead in the preparation of field office grant spending plans with the program and other staff.
∎ Review monthly Budget vs Actual and prepare any adjustments required by the field office for posting into Tally accounting system.
∎ Provide insight of projected Budget vs Actual report based on field office generated information and provide the same to the Management ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
∎ Review payment vouchers, ensuring completeness of the documentation and consistency with SKUS policies and procedures.
∎ Cash/Bank - Processing:
∎ Support processing of bank and cash transactions.
∎ Review payment vouchers to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation.
∎ Support the process of preparation of the cash and bank accounting worksheet.
∎ Closely work with NGO AB, donor, auditor and other stakeholders also follow their different types of formats, rules and regulations.
∎ Review or deduct VAT & Tax at source and ensure the deposit in due time and timely reporting to Govt. and others stakeholders.
∎ Perform other official tasks, as and when required, for the greater interest of the project/organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Candidates who have any prior corruption case should not apply.
∎ A full Professional Accounting qualification; ACCA, ICMA.
∎ CA, or it's equivalent.
∎ 3-4 years of experience in a managerial position in a NGO or non-profit organization.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision, be a self-starter, team builder, innovative, and demonstrate the capacity for maintaining high professional standards and a positive, can-do attitude, in a rapid growth setting.
∎ Have capacity to develop different types of financial reporting format or others.
∎ Have capacity to facilitate training or workshops to develop financial and accounting documentation, reporting to finance or non-finance persons.
∎ Have sound knowledge on AIS & MIS

∎ Tk. 80000 - 90000 (Monthly)
