Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure overall project administrative activities for smooth operation and maintaining details of project financial transfers and payments
∎ Responsible for ensuring day-to-day project’s cash needs, transfers, payments, reviewing invoices, check all bill blucher with proper communication of Finance and Accounts department.
∎ Track project expenditures and prepare accurate financial reports in a timely manner as required by the project.
∎ Responsible for internal and external reporting deadlines- preparing donor reports highlighting the financial situation in a timely manner.
∎ Support project staff to financial transition to implementation of project activities as per project requirements.
∎ Ensure logistical support including procurement of goods and services; staff recruitment; arranging trainings, workshops, meetings and events; contracts development; management and maintenance of project inventory; travel management; etc.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
∎ The employee will be ready to perform the tasks assigned by organization for the greater interest of the organization and the community even if those tasks are not mentioned in the above role and responsibilities.
∎ S/he will report to the Project Coordinator, FIVDB Uddom Project.
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the "Community-led Climate Smart Innovations to Address Climate Change Impacts (Uddom) Project' in Derai Upazila under Sunamgonj district in partnership with BRAC. The present project tenure is 5 years. We have initially recruited staff up to 26 May 2026 with the expectation of extending this period.
∎ Officer, Finance and Admin will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative processes of the project at the Upazila Level. The Officers will handle tracking project expenses, paying vendors, and ensuring procurement processes are followed by organization policy. S/he will be responsible for overall administrative support and maintain documentation records, schedules and details of project financial transfers and payments and day-to-day coordination of financial activities and financial reports as per project requirements.
