Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Implementing and monitoring the organization's compliance, coordinating compliance audit activities, and communicating expectations and reporting.
∎ Manage and update the books of accounts, ensure smooth functioning of the accounting systems, and record keeping of the program.
∎ Store and preserve all the valuable and necessary documents and records related to program accounting.
∎ Maintain Accounting Software for Project Accounts and update regular posting where necessary.
∎ Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports and submit them on time.
∎ Make sure all the financial transactions are made as per BDRCS and donor financial policy.
∎ Maintain Fixed Asset Register and stock registers for the Program.
∎ Preserve all program-related documents/ records/ data including hard and soft copy back-up.
∎ Prepare monthly cash forecasts and monthly & periodical financial statements.
∎ Support program team in preparing monthly cash forecasts, monthly & periodical financial statements, etc.
∎ Assist and cooperate with Internal and External audits of the Program.
∎ Review bills and vouchers received from Program staff in line with organizational policies and agreed budget and ensure submission of bills on time.
∎ Ensure the VAT & Tax compliance with the government rules.
∎ Generate regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Provide financial updates during project meetings and presentations.
∎ Process payroll and related activities accurately and in a timely manner.
∎ On a regular basis visit project location/field to monitor financial and administrative issues.
∎ Manage office supply stock, and place orders including expense report preparation and office budget.
∎ Organize a filing system for important and confidential office documents.
∎ Provide assistance to the Program team to maintain monthly work plan of program activities.
∎ Oversee general administrative functions related to the project.
∎ Maintain asset register as per the organizational rules.
∎ Maintain the HR related issues (Daily attendance; staff leave report, movement, time sheet etc.).
∎ Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and legal regulations.
∎ Coordinate with internal and external auditors & stakeholders as needed.
∎ Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
∎ S/he shall be accountable to the Accounts and Admin Assistant (NHQ), Project Manager, and DRR & Livelihood Coordinator.
∎ BDRCS in collaboration with the MoFA, Republic of Korea, KOICA, and IFRC is implementing the Integrated Flood Resilience Programme (IFRP: Phase-3 in Tangail district, Bangladesh. Therefore, BDRCS has initiated the hiring process to support the implementation of the project successfully. Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the mentioned position:

∎ Duration of Contract: Upto 31 August 2025.

∎ Purpose of the position:
∎ The purpose of this position is to manage the finance and administration of the IFRP: Phase-3 through tracking the expenditure, procurement, and adjustment of day-to-day activities in line with the monthly, quarterly, and annual budget of the project in consultation and coordination with the Project Manager.
