Job Context:
∎ The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has initiated a project on Nutrition in Secondary Cities "Nutrition in City Ecosystems (NICE)" since August 2021. The project will be implemented by a Swiss Consortium comprising the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, ETH Zürich, Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, Sight and Life Foundation. The goal of the NICE project is to improve the health and nutrition of city populations with a particular focus on women and youth. It will facilitate multisectoral action for nutrition, local public private partnership and introduce social business models to strengthen the demand and supply of local, nutritious, agroecological foods. The project will be implemented in the selected secondary cities of Bangladesh, Kenya and Rwanda.
∎ SFSA is the implementing agency of "Nutrition in City Ecosystems (NICE)" project in Bangladesh. The project will focus on 2 cities in Bangladesh and scale the learnings to a further 4 cities in the country over the first 4-year phase.
∎ Contract Type : Full time and regular position of the project
∎ Report to : Project Manager Administratively and Manager, Finance & Admin Functionally
∎ Job Summary:
∎ Finance & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing overall finance and admin related activities of the project in coordination with NICE Project Manager and SFSA Bangladesh Finance & Admin Lead. S/he shall responsible for budgeting, tracking and maintaining expenditures, financial reporting and control over the finance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage overall financial and administrative requirement of the project;
∎ Monitor day-to-day financial operations and controlling;
∎ Maintain project accounts and ensure cost effective and efficient accounting systems and procedures;
∎ Track and maintain financial records as per organization and donor standards and requirements;
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as per organization's and donor's requirement
∎ Maintain and liaison with partners organizations, bank, NGOAB and related organizations for the project;
∎ Perform administrative and HR related matters of the project following standard policy and procedures of the organization;
∎ Maintain bank accounts of the project and keep liaison with bank for smooth operation of the bank accounts and maintain petty cash to meet daily need of the project;
∎ Ensure that the necessary resources are available for the projects and concerned partners utilized fund effectively and sincerely to demonstrate high quality outputs;
∎ Manage the procurement procedures and processes for SFSA Bangladesh and responsible for the management of the project's assets and its record keeping and inventory report;
∎ Assist to the cash flow projections, check fund requisition, expenses statement, other financial reports of partner NGOs and prepare fund disbursement proposal following policies and procedures of SFSA Bangladesh;
∎ Perform regular internal audit and arrange yearly external audit of accounts of SFSA Bangladesh and partner NGOs following guidelines of the organization and complying rules and regulations of NGO affairs Bureau;
∎ Keep financial and other legal documents well-arranged and secured as per directives of organization and NGO Affairs Bureau;
∎ Assist in developing of annual budget, budget tracking, and financial updates, procurement planning, financial reporting, F&A assistance to partners and the preparation for any deliverables for the donor;
∎ Any other specific areas of responsibilities shall be assigned by the reporting line Managers.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Key Skills and Competencies:
∎ Proven ability to plan and manage the overall budget;
∎ Demonstrate understanding of agriculture industry including insurance and the role of government and regulators;
∎ Good communication skills, including writing and presentation ability, are essential;
∎ Excellent Interpersonal skill; ability to work in a team; and maintain the targets and deadlines.
∎ Provide inspiration, passion, enthusiasm.
∎ Required qualification and competencies:
∎ Incumbent must have at least 3 years of relevant job experience with reputed INGO and donor funded project;
∎ Strong accounting knowledge are prerequisite and knowledge on accounting software is preferable;
∎ Good command on MS Office;
∎ Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla;
∎ Excellent Interpersonal skill; ability to work in a team; and maintain the targets and deadlines.
