Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Com/MBA in Accounting/Finance.
Job Context:
∎ TMSS is a national level development organization. TMSS invites application from eligible candidates for the above post in the project named "Improved Livelihood Resilience of coastal fishing communities".
∎ Direct Supervisor: Project Co-coordinator, TMSS
∎ Project Duration: 01 Year.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will have to work in collaboration with the Sr. Project Accountant, ECOFISH II, World Fish.
∎ Ensure day-to-day financial and operational support to the Activity of field offices.
∎ Ensure bills supporting documents as per TMSS and USAID policy. (Budget line, Donor guideline, Vat tax deduct calculation, supporting document; such as Quotation, bid, and Master roll if needed.)
∎ Provide timely fund requests for the project.
∎ Follow-up colleagues and ensure advance liquidation, travel liquidation, and follow-up vendor to submit bills timely.
∎ Provide Project staff training on data quality of bills supporting documents, travel requests, and liquidation.
∎ Ensure control over budget expenditures; assets register, maintain books & accounts, vouchers, banking, necessary report preparation & submission to pc/director of TMSS.
∎ Maintain Project Petty Cash.
∎ Able to write VAT Coupons and prepare Coupon reports.
∎ Prepare VAT coupon report and Financial Report on monthly basis and send to World Fish.
∎ Assist the CA firm in performing the audit of project accounts and carrying out job responsibilities as per the financial manual/policy of TMSS and project guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Experience:
∎ At least 4 years' experience in finance and admin roles, preferably in national or international NGOs.
∎ Experience with USAID Rules & Regulations and procedures.
∎ Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, financial reporting standards, financial management processes and procedures.
∎ She/He is expected to have hands-on experience in managing regular financial activities (e.g. petty cash management, payment disbursement, etc.) payment processing, and general administrative functions.
∎ Computer literacy particularly in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet, etc.
∎ Experience candidate's age is considerable.
∎ Additional Requirements :
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, as per Project Duration with possibility of extension depending on performance and fund.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, ability to type in Bangla will be an advantage
∎ Age at most 40 years (Experience people will get preference).
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply.
∎ Good communication skills both in English and Bengali.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including speaking and presentation.
Salary:
∎ BDT 50,000/- per month
