Job Context:
∎ Job summary: Dalit, as the Partner of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Financed by UKAID is implementing 3 years project at Khulna. The project titled "Community Initiatives for Establishment Dalit and Excluded Peoples Rights" (CIEDER). In order to fulfill the vacancy of Finance and Admin Officer (FAO) we are seeking application from qualified candidates. She/he will be responsible for overall Project Finance and Admin. The position will be based at Project Office and have to coordinate with the Finance Department of the organization.
∎ Job Location: Khulna city corporation.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall accounting, record keeping and control of approved project budget as well frequent field visit.
∎ Ensure different format for keeping the financial record according to donor and organisational manual.
∎ Control the process financial transaction and ensure that they are in conformity with DALIT & Donor rules and procedures, correctly coded and fully accounted for.
∎ Carryout routine financial transactions which support operational activities and ensure they are properly authorized (Where necessary) fully recorded, and confirm to the relevant guideline.
∎ Preparing Financial reports according to donor compliance and monitor financial expenditure.
∎ Ensuring process and liquidate daily accounting transactions.
∎ Maintain receipt and payment statement, cash and fund flow statement, stock record.
∎ Timely payment of all utility bills, office rent, Tax and VAT management.
∎ Maintain & preparing all kind of vouchers, cash book, bank book, bill register, general ledger & different registers related to finance & accounts.
∎ Coordinate with programme team ensuring compliance of internal and external auditors.
∎ Administrative Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate and assist procurement team with quotation analysis, work order, receive of goods/services, etc.
∎ Maintain registers and records pertaining to Stores items and Keep Stock books up to date.
∎ Ensure proper maintenance and safe custody of all organization equipment / Assets
∎ Provide all kind of Logistic support to project activities.
∎ Organize systems in the office to safe guard against abuse of office facilities.
∎ Maintain the Asset register and adjust it whenever Assets are transferred or disposed off.
∎ Maintain time sheets and personnel records [employee's appointment letter, joining letter, leave, transfer, increment etc.]
∎ Data entry in computerized accounting system;
∎ Reporting:
∎ Submit monthly and quarterly financial reports to donors as per requirements and specific format.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years experience in similar post.
∎ Good knowledge of the use of Microsoft office package (Word, Excel, Power Point), and internet browsing;
∎ Written and spoken skills in Bangla and English are required;
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage the workload effectively;
∎ Leadership skills and ability to effectively manage the time;
∎ Previous experience with dalit/marginalized communities will be a plus.

Salary: Tk. 20000 (Monthly)
