Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence (BTS) is a Child Rights based organization established by a committed group of activist to combat sexual abuse of children in Bangladesh since 1994. Child sexual abuse is a very delicate issue in the Bangladeshi context with very less exposure, but it is probably the most traumatizing event a child had ever experienced. This activist group has initiated an issue to address which directly or indirectly affecting many children in our society in a very subtle manner.
∎ Breaking the Silence to implement the "Reducing Violence against Women and Girls through Advancing Social Harmony (RASH)" project in Dhaka & Sreemangal Upazilat which is funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation. The project contributes to protect women and girls from violence and to reducing the vulnerability to the adverse consequences of violence.
∎ For smooth implement the project Breaking the Silence (BTS) is seeking the qualified staffs according to the following conditions.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure day to day financial operation for all field site office
∎ Oversee processes and procedures so they meet organizational and Donor requirements.
∎ Direct supervise to Assistant Finance officer assigned to ensure the proper oversight of finance procedures and reporting requirements.
∎ Maintain all compliance as required organization levels, Donors Level and for program operations.
∎ Ensure monthly closure of Accounts and Books are reconciled.
∎ Provide technical skill to Assistant Financial officers and Associate to enhance their capacity
∎ Ensure all General Voucher with correct GL code, Project Code, Activity Code are in a timely manner and posted into software.
∎ Ensure financial reporting as required is prepared accurately and reviewed thoroughly.
∎ Prepare donor financial reports and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure financial accountability by requiring all staff provide proper documentation and signatures on vouchers, PR, purchase orders, or payments of any kind.
∎ Ensure all purchases follow organizational procurement and selection policies.
∎ Work with HRO Officer to prepare monthly salaries, Incentive to staff ensuring appropriate documentation and oversight.
∎ Lead to review all tax and VAT related transaction before preparing accounting Vouchers
∎ Lead to maintain proper Tax /VAT/Income tax calculation and make deposit to revenue department with correct submission of VAT/TAX Chalan Voucher.
∎ Ensure the appropriateness of all monetary or banking transactions.
∎ Ensure sufficient fund balance for all project bank account and request fund on time
∎ Ensure proper paperwork on financial transactions of any kind between organization and other parties or partners (accounts receivables, payables, etc.).
∎ Ensure safety protocols are established and followed by all staff.
∎ Set up tools, processes or documentation as needed or required to improve the monitoring and oversight of any financial processes described above.
∎ Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The job location will be in Dhaka but there will be an extensive field visit to Sreemangal.
∎ Females are encouraged to apply
∎ Experience with NGO/Donor funded project for minimum 2 years;
∎ Strong computer literacy-MS Word, MS Excel;
∎ Strong oral and written communication skills (English & Bangla).

Salary: Tk. 29500 - 30000 (Monthly)
