BRAC Migration Programme promotes safe migration, prevents trafficking, and supports sustainable reintegration—ensuring well-being and long-term stability for migrants, returnees, and their families.
The Mass Awareness Campaign to Combat Human Trafficking and People Smuggling (2025–2026), led by BRAC with the Australian Border Force, will raise awareness and build resilience among at-risk youth (14–35), families, Rohingya communities, and key influencers in high-risk districts. Through community events, digital outreach to 2.5 million people, and capacity building for media, law enforcement, and officials, this 11-month, AUD 1.39M initiative will prevent trafficking, empower survivors, and support Australia’s border protection goals.
Major Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistical arrangements for field activities, including setting up venues for sessions and events.
Distribute IEC materials (flyers, posters, stickers) to targeted locations and participants.
Assist Outreach Officers and Community Mobilizers in managing group activities and campaigns.
Support organization of observation events (e.g., World Day Against Trafficking).
Maintain attendance records and session materials during field events.
Help identify new outreach spots and update the local activity plan.
Assist in basic data collection and reporting from the field.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
