Experience:
At least 2 years of professional experience in the similar position·
Practical experience working at the community level and ability to use PRA tools and techniques.
Knowledge and skills on Livelihoods, Food Security, Environmental/ Climate Change, Health & Nutrition, Disaster Management and People’s Organization Development.
Have leadership and community mobilization and capacity for community organization management·
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills·
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Computer skill.

Role of this Position: Mobilizing the community for transferring knowledge, skills and appropriate technologies for enhancing their capacities to become more adaptive to climate change impacts, more disaster resilient by promoting household food security, better health conditions and greater coping and adapting mechanisms at the community level.
Job Summary: Mobilizing and building capacities of the selected communities through training, different courtyard meetings and focus group session, awareness campaigns, inputs delivery, follow up support for better outputs and creating climate resilient communities. Selecting families according to the criteria for the program interventions for: (i) strengthening capacity to build climate resilient communities through adaptation measures; (ii) enhancing food and livelihood security; (iii) promoting health, nutrition, water and sanitation; (iv) developing safety measures for reducing negative impacts during natural disasters; (v) raising awareness on climate change impacts disaster risk reductions; (vi) facilitating advocacy initiatives for sensitizing local policy makers and other stakeholders etc.
Project Summary: PCRCB Project is being implemented to enhance their resilience by focusing on (i) Reducing climate risk at community level through awareness raising, agricultural/water/structural adaptation efforts, skill development and less vulnerable AIGA support (ii) Capacity development of the local community organization for their sustainability and (iii) scaling up the resilience building approach.
