∎ Diploma in Agriculture or Master's degree in any field with 5 years of working experience on group mobilization and awareness activities and value chain related activities. Experience is not mandatory for candidate with Diploma in agriculture. Demonstrated enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about climate change adaption, community development, and rural outreach are highly valued. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills are essential.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Connecting smallholder farmers, processors, retailers and consumers to support the development of a vibrant local food system.
∎ Promotes sustainable consumption and production by creating demand for organic food.
∎ Support on FFS for smallholder farmers in order to learn, refine and expand climate-friendly production models by/for farmers.
∎ Develop plan of the field level project interventions and implementation accordingly in time with ensuring quality.
∎ Support for agriculture related technology extension on-site guidance and support for safe crop production, preservation, processing and marketing.
∎ Contact and coordination with different agricultural related Service Delivery Institutions-SDIs; Department of Agricultural Extension-DAE, project stakeholders and the targeted farmers and entrepreneurs.
∎ Assist in establishing market linkage for input and output upply.
∎ Encourage positive behavioral change toward food production and consumption.
∎ Assist with collecting data on community demographics, livelihoods, climate perceptions, and project impacts.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator (PC).

Besides, the organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto 'Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing 'A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 6 programmes: 1) Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development 2) Community Financing and Entrepreneurship Development 3) Agri-Food System Transformation 4) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Social Development and Youth Empowerment 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion. WAVE Foundation is going to implement a Global Programme ‘The Green Evolution: Pathways to Transforming Food Systems in India, Bangladesh and Nepal’, supported by Private German sponsor Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. (WHH) at Singair Upazilla of Manikgonj District with the objective to strengthen local agroecological food systems through improved policy frameworks, operational structures and multi-stakeholder cooperation at all levels. The project aims to contribute climate-resilient food systems for all people in the country based on agro-ecology. The project intends to accomplish various activities i.e., the production, processing, distribution, preparation, and consumption of food, as well as the outcomes of these interactions in the fields of food and nutrition, socioeconomics, and the environment. For implementing the project WAVE Foundation is seeking qualified candidate for the position of the ‘Field Officer’ in it’s Project Management Unit (PMU) of this project.
∎ Job Summary
∎ The Field Officer will play a key role in driving the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices in field level within ‘The Green Evolution’ project. He/She will be responsible for implementing ecological principles into farming systems, facilitate Farmer Field School (FFS) and expand climate-friendly production models by/for farmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organize field day, method and result demonstration on safe crop production, preservation, processing and marketing. He/She will have strong ability in mobilize the community.

∎ Monthly gross salary will be BDT 30,000-32,000/- (including all)
