Job Context:
∎ Social and Economic Enhancement Programme - SEEP is a private voluntary development organization with a vision to create a society for children which is free of exploitation, discrimination and violence and supports growth to their highest potential. Established in 1985 with its head office in Dhaka and has the mandate to protect the children from all sorts of hazardous condition including disaster and emergencies across Bangladesh.
∎ SEEP works in urban context and has been implementing a project titled PROYASH-II with financial support from C&A Foundation to achieve the goal that `Increased preparedness and resilience of urban slum communities in Dhaka, Savar and Chattogram to cope with shocks and stress`.
∎ Now, SEEP invites application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for its PROYASH-II Project supported by Save the Children.
∎ Duration : 06 Months (Extendable based on donor funding and performance)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will be reportable to the Project Officer
∎ Ability to work comfortably with urban poor children, youths, women and men
∎ Strong facilitation skill in community mobilization, capacity building and empowerment process
∎ Need assessment and have problem solving skills
∎ Knowledge on CPiE, SGBV, PRA/RMA tools and capable to apply the tools in analyze local market and social context, effective planning and monitoring
∎ Establish initial contact with community for introduction of program
∎ Collect necessary baseline information about the area
∎ Ensure timely implementation of the project (all components) activities in the field
∎ Mobilize and build capacity of the target community
∎ Conduct social surveys as and when required or asked by the management
∎ Liaison with partner organizations and institutions working in the project area
∎ Coordinate with Project Officer for necessary instructions and guidance
∎ Assist WDMCs, UCVs, UzDMCs, UDMCs, DMCs and other catalyst to prioritize their issues and way forward to execute their plan
∎ Prepare slum/ward based training plan based on identified area of capacity building
∎ Identify the area of capacity building of CBOs, WDMCs, UCVs, UzDMCs, UDMCs, DMCs and other catalyst in line with strengthening their capacity
∎ Impart different types of training to enhance capacity of CBOs and WDMCs, UCVs, UzDMCs, UDMCs, DMCs and other community catalyst
∎ Conduct and facilitate hygiene promotion, awareness and capacity building activities in selected slum/ward
∎ Maintain liaison with local government authority/ pouroshava and other stakeholders
∎ Prepare activities report regularly
∎ Perform any other jobs where and when necessary as per direction of the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience working in the NGO sector
∎ Working experience in urban slum will be asset for the role
∎ Analytical skills and decision making ability even in complex and sensitive situations
∎ Experience to deal with children and youth group
∎ Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to absorb information quickly
∎ Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies
∎ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, priorities workload and 'multitask'
∎ Multicultural awareness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
∎ Highly organized, reliable attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed;
∎ Excellent communication skills including a good level of written and spoken English
∎ Basic computer skills

Salary:
∎ BDT 23,760 (Monthly) with other benefits as per project budget
