Experience: At least 4 years working experience in any Local/National NGO. Have solid working experience in Education, DRR and Climate resilient programs

The expertise required;

• Working experience with government primary and secondary education authority
• Experience to organize mobilization, parents gathering, and work with multi committees of primary and secondary education.
• Experience to identify the barrier of education and find out the possible solving mapping
• Reporting and documentation expertise.
• Work with team context.
• Expertise in right claimer.
• Good negotiator and communicator.
• The candidate should have knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender, and Anti-Sexual Harassment), PSHEA issues, persons with disability inclusion, social protection, and complaint response and feedback mechanism

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-profit community development organization situated in northern Bangladesh. The organization is registered with the Social Welfare Department and NGO Affairs Bureau of the Bangladesh government. Since 1972, the organization has been serving the poor and extreme poor with special focus on the char (River Island) and attached char inhabitants (men, women, persons with disability, youth, children and adolescents) in different areas through several program initiatives. At present, MJSKS has been working in Kurigram, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat district. MJSKS has been implementing various types of projects in the field of livelihood development, human rights, women empowerment, youth employability and engagement, adolescent development, gender equality, quality education for children, water and sanitation, health, hygiene & nutrition, Humanitarian Assistance in disaster and climate change adaptation. Sustainable development for the poorest through ensuring people's participation is the key approach of its work.

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS), in collaboration with a sponsorship funded program of plan international Bangladesh. The program aims at children's wellbeing and poverty-driven vulnerable communities through a structured and sustainable approach. Throughout the implementation period, the project focuses on children’s wellbeing, strengthening local ownership in education, and building institutional capacity. This comprehensive approach will help to ensure that the project’s achievements are sustained beyond its implementation period.

MJSKS is looking for a qualified Field Facilitator for the said project for eight months.

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance (Eight months)

Job location: Kachakata, Ballaverkhas and Kaliganj union of Nageswari upazila under Kurigram District.

Reporting to: Respective technical officer of the union.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct community mobilization, group formation, and grassroots facilitation
• Conduct participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools and community engagement approaches
• She /He will work closely with marginalized and indigenous communities,
• SMC, PTA
•  Maintain close communication with primary and secondary school authority, SMC, PTA and the parents of the schools’ learners.
• Report writing and documentation the project achievements
• Will work in hard-to-reach areas and adapt to field conditions
• Team-oriented, motivated, and sensitive to gender and social inclusion issues
•  She/ he will work with government primary and secondary educational institutions.
• Organize annual sports, parents gathering and mobilization
• Engage the parents to improve the active participation of parents in primary education
• Identify the problem and mapping the possible solution of the barrier of the primary and secondary education.
• Establish common rooms in secondary educational institutions.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection for the education learners.
• Closely work with union parishad and their bodies.  

To ensure strong community engagement, Field Facilitators will be deployed in the project area, each covering one union and ten primary schools and one secondary school. They will facilitate the local resources to solve the barrier for education, strengthen local leadership platforms, support community monitoring initiatives, and ensure meaningful participation of parents for ensuring education for all community children. Their work will play a key role in amplifying the voices of rights-holders and strengthening community engagement in local primary education governance processes.

• Monthly gross salary Tk. 22,769/- possibility of yearly salary with 1 festival bonus (equivalent one-month gross salary)
