Additional Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Understanding of machine embroidery processes and equipment (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, etc.)

• Familiarity with embroidery design software (e.g., Wilcom) and formats.

• Basic knowledge of fabric types and thread handling.

Skills:

• Operating multi-head and single-head embroidery machines.

• Interpreting design layouts and understanding technical specifications.

• Machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Communication and documentation/reporting.

Responsibilities & Context:

To ensure effective implementation and quality maintenance of machine embroidery activities as per approved design standards. This includes supervising embroidery operators, ensuring timely delivery, checking design alignment, and maintaining records and tools efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and supervise machine embroidery work as per job orders and approved samples.
  • Collect job tickets and ensure materials (threads, fabric) are ready before starting work.
  • Check design files and ensure compatibility with embroidery machines.
  • Maintain quality control during and after embroidery process.
  • Coordinate with design and quality teams to address alignment or technical issues.
  • Maintain regular records of machine usage, maintenance, and output.
  • Identify defective or misaligned designs and take corrective measures.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new embroidery machine operators.
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
