Job Context:
∎ The Field Coordinator (FC) is responsible to oversee the field activities within the region/division for the project including office management, administration and successful implementation of the project. The FC will lead in planning and provide operational guidance for the field teams, technical and implementing partners and other stakeholders to achieve above and beyond the project mandate. The FC may be required to manage multiple field offices within a single region/division and this should be done with strategic management and planning.

∎ Other Information and Conditions:
∎ The position would be the regular employment of iDE-Bangladesh
∎ The remuneration package, work days and deliverables might be change based on negotiation between iDE management and the contract

∎ As an FC under Operation Directorate, it is duty and accountability of the FC to ensure the confidentiality of certain issues. The FC must maintain full confidentiality for sharing information, documents and others issues with other

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Function as Field Coordinator on all project activities within an assigned district, under supervision of the Program Manager
∎ Function as the supervisor for iDE field staff Market Development Officers
∎ Operate as a regional iDE contact person for institutional iDE requirements, roll-outs, security and coordination
∎ Ensure high quality technical support to the field team following organizational and market development principals
∎ Facilitate project startup and phase out planning
∎ Ensure delivery of iDE's program of field activities at a high quality, in line with budget, and in accordance with institutional prioritie

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7- 10 years of experience working on market system development including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position and lead project implementation.
∎ Familiarity with WASH sector preferred
∎ Familiarity and experience with project management concepts such as Logical
∎ Frameworks, Impact Logic or Results Chains
∎ Considerable understanding and knowledge of rural markets, trading relationships and rural service provision
∎ Management and Programmatic Skills:
∎ Ability to responsibly manage district level funds, monitoring and team progress
∎ Ability to plan and implement iterative field level activities for market systems change (looking beyond the DIP)
∎ Understands the facilitative role and local market development approach
∎ Experience of value chain approaches, market development and deep dive research
∎ Personal Skills:
∎ Energetic and focused approach to engaging with multiple stakeholders to promote market system approach to WASH
∎ Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
∎ Ability to work with various national and international team members and flexibility to adapt to different work conditions
∎ Ability to interact and collaborate with a broad range of public and private sector and NGO partners
∎ Physical and Language Skills:
∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts
∎ Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, email and the internet
∎ Familiarity with internet based software systems such as Google Apps
