Job Context:
∎ Job Location: BRAC Field Office
∎ Purpose:This position holder is responsible for overall field coordination as well as the implementation of planned activities includes review cyclone contingency planning, prepositioning emergency containers with NFIs stockpiling in planned locations. Support in community-based cyclone preparedness intervention including strong coordination with local Disaster Management Committee (Union, Upazila, and District) for understanding and needs of.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare project field action plan and providing support to the accomplish targeted project intervention including support in preparation of cyclone contingency plan
∎ Prepare preposition planning of emergency containers including NFIs stockpiling and operation plan as cyclone contingency planning
∎ Support to preposition portable water RO plant and usage manual with proper guidance tools;
∎ Coordinate with relevant BRAC programmes/ departments, BDCs, and local partners
∎ Coordinate with local administration, local government institutions, Upazila Disaster Management Team (UDMT) and District Disaster Management Team (DDMT)
∎ Pursue obtaining certifications from respective DC and UNO offices for NGO Affairs Bureau in coordination with BDCs
∎ Maintain liaison with relevant BRAC programmes/ departments and other stakeholders, represent BRAC in different forums as necessary
∎ Develop and design record keeping formats/ tools and introduce registers to be maintained in the field offices for documentation
∎ Prepare monthly progress reports and submit it in a timely manner
∎ Collect case stories with photographs and prepare write-up/ narrative reports
∎ Conduct site/ field visit on regular basis by maintaining proper register and reporting
∎ Practice and promote BRAC Values in all actions
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience with proven track record in project management/ field operations in areas of DRR/ Emergency Response & Recovery or any other development programmes/ interventions.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound knowledge of global, regional and national disaster management framework of Bangladesh and all other humanitarian framework and standards
∎ Excellent skills in report writing (i.e. financial report, progress report etc.)
∎ Capable for planning and prioritizing under any stress situation
∎ Excellent skills in team building, problem solving and decision making
∎ Demonstrated coordination skill and able to implement programme in a challenging work environment
∎ Excellent communication, coordination and networking skill
∎ Familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
