Job Context:
∎ Employment Type: Contractual (initially for 1 Year)
∎ The position will be based in Khulna/ Satkhira and will report to the Programme Officer- Research & Development and maintain close coordination with other team members.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Stay in the field is mandatory to look after the mangrove ponds and mangroves,
∎ Preparation of weekly personal plan followed by monthly implementation plan,
∎ Implement the project activities at field/ Upazila level,
∎ Collect quantitative and qualitative data regularly to facilitate/ assist the research activities,
∎ Arrange monthly meeting of the mangrove and control farmers at upazila level and assist the farmers to prepare the meeting notes,
∎ Provide support to farmers for maintaining farm record book and record keeping for all the project interventions
∎ Update the farmers' data base regularly
∎ Providing follow-up services to monitor and ensure whether the recommendations are carried out during implementation of the project interventions,
∎ Keep liaison with the SaFaL Shrimp Farmers Service Center, collection centers, Lead Farmers, etc.,
∎ Organizing and preparing arrangements for training and workshops for the project participants At Upazila level,
∎ Track and documentation the progress of project activities and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual report,
∎ Preparing good practice dissemination notes based on the experience gained from mangrove piloting site,
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the ARF Project authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 30 years
∎ At least 1 year of experience specially in the field of research related to mangrove ecosystem, fisheries, etc.
∎ Preferably 1 year of professional experience in the field of development projects.
∎ Knowledge of aquaculture extension techniques, livelihoods approaches, land and water management;
∎ Ability to communicate ideas effectively, and to write clearly and concisely.
∎ Have knowledge about MS office word, excel and power point
∎ Ability to work in a team;
∎ Proven ability to work in an intercultural environment
∎ Effective and efficient communication skills.
