Educational Requirements:

∎ General Functions:
∎ This position works under the direct supervision of a Senior Project Assistant or a National or International Project Officer of the Shelter/NFI Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide general assistance in the implementation of host community and refugees project activities e.g. data collection, shelter upgradation, quality control of construction materials, assistance in monitoring of labour.
∎ 2. Distribution of tokens for identified beneficiaries based on the assessment, notification to beneficiaries in advance to the distribution/training,
∎ 3. Support to retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on shelter activities.
∎ 4. Support administrative coordination in the camps and host community project implementation, involving internal liaison with SM, TRD, WASH and Protection units of IOM and external liaison with the local government.
∎ 5. Assist in collection of accurate and updated data and produce daily/weekly reports and related updates.
∎ 6. Maintain good professional relationship with community representatives, NGO partners, local government, and other relevant actors.
∎ 7. Support to organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
∎ 8. Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records for the field activities.
∎ 9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Field experience in emergency response (natural or human made disaster)
∎ Experience in emergency response projects for marginalised populations, specifically including data collection and cash/Non-Food Items distribution.
∎ Experience in shelter/NFI programme, particularly construction supervision is an advantage
∎ Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
∎ Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
