Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducting social assessments, identifying the social support needs of patients/survivors, including legal, protection, shelter/housing, financial/vocational, food security, and access to medical and psychosocial support services beyond the project intervention scope.
∎ Supporting the provision of comprehensive care to patients and their families, by actively coordinating their work with the other members of the MSF multidisciplinary team (eg. Medical, MHPSS) and linking with multi-sectoral services such as protection, safety, security, legal, justice, education, and livelihood.
∎ Providing direct social support based on social assessments and facilitating referrals to evaluated external re-sources. Provide systematic follow up care regarding attendance of clinical appointments, and following up on referrals made to relevant multi-sectoral services aimed at improving the quality of life of patients/survivors.
∎ Participating in the creation and maintenance of any material needed for the activities of social workers, including facilities and equipment in order to ensure continuity.
∎ Mapping and regular updating of formal and informal support services (incl. existing community resources). Assess quality of existing support services, with identification of gaps and advocacy for an improved culturally appropriate social response.
∎ Maintaining records, statistics, files, and reports on all social work activities and follow up care either provided by MSF or other support services. Identifying gaps in the available services and with the team prioritizing and developing plans following the objectives of MSF.
∎ Providing short-term case management services to patients through the development and implementation of a care plan and/or coordinated care plan.
∎ Completing regular outreach visits in factories and homes to deliver psychoeducation sessions and conducting assessments/screenings.
∎ Frequent follow-up (via calling, community visits, in-clinic sessions) with patients regarding their clinical appointments internally and externally, and modifying treament plans based on need.
∎ Accompanying patients to external sites.
∎ Cooperating and working alongisde the mental health team, which include attending meetings, supervision, and frequent collaboration on referral planning and outcomes.
∎ Identifying and resolving barriers which prevent vulnerable groups from having access to medical and psychosocial services, while collaborating with the HAO, MHAM, PC and relevant supervisors.
∎ Providing assistance with the implementation of relevant SOPs (domestic violence, child abuse, etc).
∎ Developing, facilitating, and monitoring psychosocial programming alongside MHAM, MHS, and others.
∎ Developing material, facillitate workshops, complete assessments, and provide counselling.
∎ SW concerns may include: child protection, unaccompannied minors, safety and security (in terms of housing, shelter, relocation), protection, chronic diseases, pregnancy and ANC, financial needs, employment through community support, psychosocial, education, LGBTI protection, addictions and substance use, aging and older adults, couples and family conflict, criminal justice, disabilities.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 47477 - 56972 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly salary according to level 5 of the internal MSF salary grid, which is 47,477 BDT gross. Two annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents
