Job Context:
∎ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization working in more than 70 countries worldwide. We deliver emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or manmade disasters. MSF first worked in Bangladesh in 1992.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide outpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions.
∎ ENSURING THE QUALITY OF TRIAGE:
∎ To assist with triaging of patients in the waiting area according to the triage protocol in order to prioritise treatment of severe cases
∎ CONSULTATION, DIAGNOSIS, MANAGEMENT AND REFERRAL OF PATIENTS:
∎ To consult and diagnose patients from all departments: Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH), sexual & gender based violence including intimate partner violence (SGBV & IPV), and Occupational Health (OH) in accordance with MSF protocols and clinical guidelines.
∎ To check Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI)/TT vaccination status of eligible patients and communicate to patient/care-giver and encourage attendance.
∎ To review patients in the observation room and lead rapid medical care/referral in case of emergency.
∎ MEDICAL RECORD MAINTENANCE:
∎ To record all consultations, findings, diagnoses, treatment plans and epidemiological data on required sheets
∎ To comply with clinic data collection tools and protocols
∎ OTHER ACTIVITIES:
∎ To participate in medical meetings & training regarding patient care and clinic activities.
∎ To participate in medical activities evaluation, including audits and reports as required
∎ To consult the national staff in case of sickness during work hours and to make decisions in collaboration with the medical staff health responsible in the project
∎ To be responsible, as rostered, for national staff health
∎ To help provide, when required, medical education and training
∎ To support in basic management of the project clinic medical activities (pharmacy/inventory, statistics/data-collection, & vaccination activity).
∎ To be willing to work as a team by supporting nurses, midwives & registrars, and to support any project medical activities, including gapfills and emergencies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Education - Medical Doctor, MBBS or equivalent, from an accredited institution/Medical College plus 1 year clinical internship. Valid registration number issued from Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.
∎ Experience - 1-2 year experience as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (can be within internship/medical training). Previous experience preferable in SRH and/or Occupational hazard activities. Desirable in tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health, obs and gynae, paediatrics, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
∎ Other - essential computer literacy (word, excel)
∎ Language - English (intermediate), Bangla (advanced)
Salary:
∎ Salary according to level 9 of the internal MSF salary grid.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Medical allowance
∎ Festival Bonus: 2
∎ Contract length: 12 months (with 3 month probationary period)
∎ Two annual leave days per month worked.
∎ Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.
∎ No relocation allowance shall be provided.
