Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of maintenance systems, building operations, and safety regulations. Experience with quality assurance frameworks and audit processes is an advantage.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with diverse teams.      

• Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software (if applicable).       

• Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.       

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational issues. 

Job Context:

The Facility Management & Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the university’s physical infrastructure, campus environment, and operational services are well-maintained, safe, efficient, and aligned with institutional quality standards. This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of campus facilities and supports continuous improvement through systematic monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Facility Management

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all university buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices, and common areas.

• Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, security, and technical teams to ensure timely service delivery.

• Monitor campus utilities (electricity, water, HVAC, generators, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues, safety risks, and improvement needs.

• Manage vendor relationships related to facility services—maintenance companies, cleaning agencies, equipment suppliers, utility providers, etc.

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste management across the campus.

• Support planning and execution of infrastructure projects, renovation works, and space allocation.

2. Quality Assurance

• Develop and implement quality assurance processes for facility services and campus operations.

• Monitor service standards and evaluate the performance of facility service providers.

• Prepare regular QA reports with recommendations for improvement.

• Collect feedback from students, faculty, and staff on campus facilities and respond to issues promptly.

• Support internal and external audits related to campus operations and accreditation requirements.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, service contracts, inspections, and quality assessments.

• Prepare periodic reports for senior management on facility status, challenges, and recommendations.

• Assist in drafting policies, SOPs, and guidelines related to facility management and quality assurance.
