Skills Required: Lab experience from ITS/SGS.
Working with a testing Laboratory for apparel or textile.
Should have in-depth practical experience on Fabric & Garments testing.
Should have knowledge about ETP process, lab equipment & testing methods.
Should have sound knowledge on AATCC & ISO.
Should have sound knowledge about testing requirements of various Buyers.
Leadership quality with positive attitude & having ability to take decision independently.
Should have good inter personal communication skills.
Should be proficient with emails and computers.
Lead all woven/Denim fabric technical activities in development, pre-production, and bulk stages.
Review and analyze fabric specifications, test reports, and approvals as per buyer standards.
Coordinate with buying, sourcing, and QA teams for fabric approval and risk assessment.
Evaluate fabric test failures and guide mills/Apparel fty for corrective actions to meet buyer req.
Handle and settle any type of fabric quality claim or issue through effective communication and negotiation.
Approve bulk fabric lots based on shade, hand feel, shrinkage, and performance test results.
Conduct mill evaluation based on quality consistency and service performance.
Maintain updated fabric library, lab test database, and approval tracker.
Supervise fabric inspection to confirm shade, width, and quality accuracy before cutting.
Monitor wash follow-up to control shrinkage, appearance, and shade variation after washing.
Optimize marker efficiency to minimize fabric waste and improve fabric utilization.
Ensure precise pattern segregation by lot and shade to maintain cutting consistency.
Follow up on Trims/Accessories technical and quality issues to ensure timely resolution.
Support merchandising & production teams with technical solutions on fabric and accessory issues.
Communicate effectively with buyers, suppliers, and Fabric mills.
Ensure all fabrics and accessories meet physical, color, and chemical standards (AATCC / ISO / buyer protocol).
